Katharine Isabelle has gone on to forge a career as a favourite of the horror genre, with American Mary, Ginger Snaps, See No Evil 2, and Freddy vs. Jason just some of highlight's of the Canadian's résumé. And it was the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise's Freddy Krueger who seemed to provide the inspiration for Isabelle's one-and-done Smallville character.

That character was a telepath named Sarah Conroy.

Turning up in the third season 'Slumber' episode, Sarah had been left in a six-year coma following a car accident that killed her parents. As their car went off a bridge into a river, Sarah just so happened to come into contact with some meteor rock - which ended up giving her the ability to enter Clark Kent's dreams.

Clark saw these visits as a cry for help from Sarah, and his investigative work saw it revealed that Sarah was being kept in a coma by her no-good uncle. By the time the two met in real-life, Sarah was aware of Clark's unique abilities - only for CK to play down this suggestion as merely the sort of crazy things that we see in our dreams.
