Sons Of Anarchy: Ranking Every Main Character Worst To Best
4. Clay Morrow
He was a leader of the Sons of Anarchy for many years, he killed more members of the club than just about anyone else, and he eventually earned a Mayhem vote from the very men he once called brothers. Clay Morrow had a rollercoaster of a journey throughout the series to say the very least.
He ordered the murder of Opie Winston, which inadvertently resulted in the death of his innocent wife, and while he and Jax warred over the direction of the club, all was essentially forgotten when Gemma confessed to being raped, and Abel was taken to Belfast. This was merely a hiatus however, as Clay's downfall soon resumed.
On the outside, he may seem like a complicated and deep character, but ultimately he was driven by one thing, and one thing only: Greed. He killed John Teller because he wanted to move the club out of guns into more legitimate, albeit less lucrative business, he landed the club in the middle of a drug war because of the potential income, and he orchestrated the Charming home invasions to try and win back the President's patch because he missed the lion's share of the profits.
For the most part, he was a smart, ruthless character, and made a great villain for the Sons of Anarchy, as the most damage he ever did them was while sitting at the head of the table itself.
