Star Trek: Discovery Episode 3.6 Review: Ups And Downs From Scavengers

2. Georgiou (UP)

Star Trek Discovery Georgiou

One thing, however, that is a solid positive to this week's episode is that Michelle Yeoh gets to give us true-Mirror Georgiou again. She has effectively been snarky set-dressing for the bulk of this season, despite a strong scene with David Cronenberg last week. That scene obviously left a mark on her, as she has been suffering flashes of visions ever since.

She seems to be seeing the death of a close lieutenant from the mirror universe in these flashes. While the obvious candidate would be mirror-Burnham, that doesn't truly track as mirror-Burnham betrayed her (and didn't die in front of her).

What remains to be seen is what exactly did Kovich do to Georgiou last week? Clearly, there has been either some sort of conditioning, or she has been infected with something that is making her see these things. This is a mystery that is truly interesting!

Around these flashes, Georgiou is on peak villain form this week, playing those who would give her lip like a fiddle. She dominates the Orion, breaking him as only a bigger bully can. Her relationship with Burnham remains her strongest bond. There is perhaps a future in the pair of them (with Grudge. And Book, we suppose!) leaving the confines of Starfleet full time. That truly may be an interesting direction for the show to take. On that -
