Star Trek Enterprise Cast: Where Are They Now?

1. Scott Bakula

Star Trek Enterprise
CBS

As the first Captain to travel to strange new worlds, Bakula's Captain Jonathan Archer had big shoes to fill. There would be instant comparisons to Kirk, which was in fact met head on by the producers, who wanted Enterprise to be something of a call back to that original series.

Bakula brought a bit of Sci-Fi history with him to the show. He had been the lead actor on Quantum Leap for four and half years, carrying that show almost solo from episode to episode.

In fact, there was so much work involved there that his contract for Enterprise stipulated that filming finish by 6pm each Wednesday, so that he could have dinner with his family.

He attended his first convention in 2006, one year after Enterprise was cancelled. As the years have gone by, and audiences have warmed a little more to the show, Archer has been worked into both the Kelvin universe films and into Star Trek Discovery. Bakula himself continues to act.

He has a long history with musicals and cabaret, is an accomplished singer and performer and is also able to rival William Shatner for his horseriding skills. He has gone on to appear in several films and other TV shows, appearing in projects as varied as Looking and Behind the Candelabra, to Source Code and The Informant.

His current role sees him as the lead on NCIS: New Orleans, which has just been renewed for a seventh season.
