Star Trek: Every Enterprise Ranked Worst To Best

8. NX-01

Doug Drexler's design for the NX-01 may seem like a re-use of the Akira class vessel introduced in Star Trek: First Contact, designed by Alex Jager. However, the design is based on the older concept art for the never-made Star Trek: The First Adventure.

Drexler would later redesign the ship to feature a secondary hull, something a little more similar to Matt Jefferies design from the '60s. While this model would not be seen on-screen, it has appeared in both Ships of the Line and has been recreated as a model for Eaglemoss.

The ship has a tough, ready-for-action feel, similar to that of a submarine. It has a more industrial design, that of a ship that is truly being held together by the rivets and bolts (and prayers). Enterprise was the series depicting humanity's first true foray into space - this is a ship that looks fitting for the role.
