12. Stargate SG-1: Season 4
Narrowly missing out to Season 3 in terms of quality, Season 4 still had plenty of excellent episodes, namely 'Window of Opportunity', 'Tangent', 'The Curse' and 'The Serpent's Venom', there were a few misses with the hits.
'Divide and Conquer', 'Watergate' and 'Entity' felt unfinished and 'Absolute Power' attempted to wrap up the Harcesis storyline in a way that wasn't particularly satisfying except for letting Michael Shanks revel in the darker side that Daniel Jackson keeps well hidden.
Like the seasons before it, season 4 continues to build on the universe established earlier on, showing a few snippets that would become important later on, such as time travel story '2010' and the beginning of Earth's space fleet program in 'Tangent', as well as delving into the history of the Goa'uld just a touch in 'The First Ones'. The episode 'Point of No Return' also introduced us to Martin Lloyd and... well... more on him later.
