Stargate: Every System Lord Ranked Worst To Best

7. Osiris

As a System Lord, Osiris was, in a way, a highly unsuccessful Goa'uld. He allied himself with Ra in the great war against Anubis, surviving the purge that followed and was instilled as one of Ra's greatest servants. He came to Earth, where he chose to remain, becoming the first Pharoh of Egypt.

His queen became Isis and the pair ruled together. His brother, Setesh, slowly convinced him to rise up against Ra and destroy his forces. But, at the last moment, Setesh betrayed Osiris (as he had always planned), leading to both Osiris and Isis being stripped of their hosts by Ra and sealed in canopic jars, which acted as stasis chambers.

Almost 11,000 years later, Osiris's jar was opened by Dr. Sarah Gardner and he took her as a host, seeking to regain his former strength. However, he would not gain the position of System Lord again. Instead, he became the emissary for Anubis, convincing the other System Lords to allow Anubis to return to the fold.

Using Sarah's memories, Osiris planned to trick Daniel Jackson, through his subconscious, into revealing the location of the Eye of Ra - a component to a super weapon that would allow Anubis to destroy entire worlds. Thankfully, Osiris was discovery and taken by the Tok'ra, freeing Sarah and finally ensuring the Goa'uld was killed.
