Stargate Universe: Where Are They Now?

1. Robert Carlyle

Stargate Universe Rush
MGM

Robert Carlyle starred as the anti-hero Nicholas Rush in Stargate Universe. For him, the only really important thing was to understand the existence of Destiny and the purpose that the Ancients sent it on. Think of him as an A-moral version of Daniel Jackson. He is a genius, but his genius is tempered by a cold lack of empathy.

Carlyle is the actor with arguably the most experience in Stargate Universe. He had come to prominence in the UK years before for his starring roles in both Trainspotting, as the psychopathic Begbie and as Gaz in The Full Monty.

Since Stargate, he reprised his role of Begbie in the sequel to Trainspotting, though one of his most well known roles to date was as Rumplestiltskin in Once Upon A Time. He starred as Ogilvy in the BBC adaptation of War of the Worlds and had an uncredited cameo as John Lennon in Yesterday.
