Supergirl Trailer: 25 Easter Eggs And References You Need To See

20. Cat Grant

While The Daily Planet does exist in this world, the action being moved to National City (which doesn't appear in the comic books, but appears to be on the West Coast, separating Superman and Supergirl by quite some distance) means that there's another media conglomerate for the action to focus on. That is CatCo, run by Calista Flockhart's Cat Grant. Like most DC Comics characters, there have been a number of different versions of Cat. It's hard to say which this one borrows from, as one of the latest was an entertainment reporter for The Daily Planet, and definitely not a fan of Supergirl (especially as her breast implants left the hero baffled when she checked them out with her X-Ray vision).
