18. Superman: The Movie Poster

The first ever photo of Superman in this world - which he apparently posed for according to James - is a clearly a nod to a very famous movie poster.The pose, sky, and colours are all reminiscent of the one sheet for Superman: The Movie. That was painted by the great Bob Peak, and has become as iconic as the 1978 movie and Christopher Reeve's performance in the years which have followed. It's a subtle Easter Egg, but a nice way to reference the past.
