The Boys Season 2: 10 Major New Details You Need To Know
5. Jeffrey Dean Morgan Is In Talks To Join The Cast
There have been rumblings for a while now that The Walking Dead star Jeffrey Dean Morgan could be in talks to join the cast of The Boys, with showrunner Eric Kripke making his interest in bringing the Supernatural alum into this twisted world clear on social media earlier this year. Morgan has also lobbied for a role, and it sounds like there are now plans in place to make that a reality.
"There’s one role we’re already talking about," Kripke told Collider. "He has to, uh, we have to like coordinate. Because you know, he’s on The Walking Dead, so he has another home. But we already talked about one role, and there might be a potential other that we’re talking about. But we are, just this past week we were literally texting back and forth about trying to figure out how to get him on the show. I don’t think it’s a done deal yet, but the will is there, and we’re both talking about it."
Scheduling conflicts are bound to pose a problem, but with The Walking Dead on pause thanks to current world events, there's a chance Morgan could make a cameo of some sort in season two (just like he showed up in Supernatural last year) in order to set up a bigger role down the line.
