3. The Boys Will Get A Backstory
The first season of The Boys didn't really reveal a great deal about its leads, but that looks set to change when the show returns. Mother's Milk, Kimiko and Frenchie will all receive the spotlight, with Laz Alonso explaining that while the comic book version of Mother's Milk was born with Compound V in his blood, the series is going to explore a very different "infection" that he has.
According to the actor, he's obsessed with being a freedom fighter, and "That’s what he’s infected with: risking what he has in the pursuit of justice." There will also be some big reveals about where Kamiko came from, and why she doesn't speak, with Karen Fukuhara promising that, "Her relationship with her history that we find out in Season 2 also alters the relationship she has with Frenchie a little bit."
Tomer Capon, meanwhile, says that Frenchie gets his own "origin story" in these new episodes.
As for Billy Butcher, Karl Urban is unsure whether he has his priorities straight when he rejoins The Boys. "How far is Butcher willing to go? How much is he willing to sacrifice?" the actor asked during Comic-Con@Home last month. "Will he again jeopardize his team?"
