The Flash Season 2: 10 Problems Nobody Wants To Admit
6. Flash's Powers Have Stagnated
In the first season, Flash did an awful lot of cool stuff. Phasing through walls, super sonic punches and even accidental time travel. So far in season 2 he has thrown lightning and kind of made a speed mirage, though that power was already shown prominently in season 1. Other than that, he's just been running a lot. We know that giving the Flash all of his top tier powers would cause problems with making him too overpowered, but it would be nice if he started using his laundry list of already known powers in more inventive ways, like when Zoom caught a hail of gunfire with one hand. Just running up to people and punching them isn't going to keep people excited for the show forever, that is unless he pulls out the long anticipated infinite mass punch. His first fight against Zoom went poorly because he was using terminal velocity against the evil speedster, but what will happen when he punches Zoom with enough force to reach escape velocity? Just the implication of maybe seeing something like that in the show gives this writer an embarrassing amount of goosebumps. It would more than make up for Barry's lack of ability usage this season.
Any time I'm not writing, I'm likely arguing about children's cartoons with strangers on the internet or staring at my ceiling and wondering where it all went wrong.
