The Flash Season 6 Review: 3 Ups & 5 Downs From 'Love Is A Battlefield'

1. The Whole Thing Felt Pointless

While the ensuing drama between Barry Allen and (fake)Iris West-Allen was actually really good and there were glimmers of promise from the mysterious Nash and Allegra arc, everything else in 'Love Is A Battlefield' just felt completely pointless.

Granted, the whole thing was a plot device to drive home the point that this wasn't our Iris, but it could have been more than the shallow OTT adventure it turned out to be. This is the problem of having too many episodes: A whole episode has to be devoted to said plot device instead of just a few moments. And, as a result, we get a lot of loud in-your-face material while the important stuff languishes in the background.

Now, for the positives...
