7. Johnny Cash
The Simpsons has had a long line of musical guests over the years, including Michael Jackson, The Smashing Pumpkins, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Lenny Kravitz, The Who, Aerosmith, and many, many more. After Homer ate a Guatemalan insanity pepper at the Springfield Chili Cook-off, his mind started playing tricks on him, as a bunker on the golf course became a desert stretching across the horizon, and a dog became a talking coyote.
In 'El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer', Cash's deep, soothing voice appeared first in the sky, telling Homer to go on a journey to find his soul mate, before he took the form a regular sized coyote. It was this advice that directed Homer back into the arms of Marge, his one true love, though admittedly after almost bringing him together with an automated lighthouse programme named E.A.R.L.
