The Walking Dead: 10 Things To Expect When Season 9 Returns

1. A Possible New Ally/Enemy Will Emerge As A Result Of Ezekiel's Installation Of The Signal Booster

Before Eugene hurt his leg and discovered the Walkers doing things differently, he was busy installing a radio signal booster atop a water tower. This correlates to something he did in the books and may suggest a way forward following the Whisperers.

In the books, Eugene uses some old radio equipment to try and establish communications with anyone who might be listening. He posits that other groups of survivors must have accumulated elsewhere in the world and sets out to make contact with them.

He eventually succeeds and makes contact with a group he works to establish trust with for most of the time between the war with the Saviors and the fight with the Whisperers, but it doesn't pay off until after the Whisperers are dealt with. This may suggest more of what will happen in seasons 10 and 11, but it is something to consider.

Once he lets the rest of the folks know about his communications, they launch a mission to meet up with these other survivors halfway across the country and finally do establish contact with them. Will this so-called "New World Order" be a positive move forward or more mayhem as seen with other groups? It's been playing out in the books, but might not be seen for a while on the show.

What do you think will happen when The Walking Dead returns? Let us know down in the comments.
