The Walking Dead Season 7: 6 Ups And 4 Downs From 'Say Yes'

3. More Great Walker Action

Since coming back from the break, one of the noticeable improvements the show has made - aside from the tone - has been in a renewed focus on big walker-based set-pieces. First we had Rick and Michonne slicing through a hoard, and then the epic showdown with Winslow.

We get a couple of cool walkers here - the one lodged in the car, another firing a gun, and one that pays homage to George A. Romero's Creepshow - but it's more in the fun it has with using them as a weapon against Rick and Michonne, and having the two working together to dispatch them.

From the "you can handle eight" line to Rick trying - and largely failing - to pull the walker from the windscreen, to the way they get surrounded and have to pick them off, there's some great action here, which features some excellent choreography, and plays perfectly into the tone of the episode. Greg Nicotero's episodes can be hit-and-miss, but he sure knows his way around zombie action, which he proves yet again here.
