It's finally happened! Forget the flaws of the episode, this is what you'll leave "Gone" thinking about: After six years of TV, Rick and Michonne are back together! And what a sight it is.

The reunion is sudden, but that's its secret. Both masked, they realise who the other is and quickly reveal their faces, embracing in a loving hug years in the making. Lincoln and Gurira work wonders here, the look of love and welcome surprise in their eyes truly tear-inducing.

Reunited, Michonne tells Rick that Judith is safe (though strangely decides not to tell him about RJ, the son she was pregnant with when he went missing), learns Rick lost his hand trying to escape the CRM, and they smile genuinely for the first time in what is surely years.

Brilliantly, though, this doesn't last. Rick is forced to allow Michonne's capture by the CRM to save them both, forcing his wife into a new identity and cutting their otherwise sweet reunion painfully short. It looks like these two will have to wait before they can can find real safety, but now that they're together again, what could possibly stop them?
