The X-Files: 10 Best Characters Only In One Episode
2. Sheriff Luke Wilson (Bad Blood)
When Mulder accidentally stabs a teenage pizza delivery boy through the heart with a wooden stake because he believed the boy to be a vampire, he and Scully then had to spend an afternoon in their basement office retelling what happened in the case from both their very different but very hilarious perspectives.
From Scully's point of view when the case about supposed "vampires" came to the duo's attention, she was adamantly uninterested. But then when one very attractive sheriff arrived during the case, Agent Scully was completely smitten by his charm and good looks.
Mulder, of course, was not impressed by the sheriff's appearance and fell very quickly into an obvious fit of jealousy. This jealousy leads fans to see the sheriff from Mulder's perspective as a more stereotypical western idiot with a "large overbite."
Whichever flashback perspective of the sheriff fans prefer, whether it's the supportive handsome one or the comedic idiot sheriff, he nonetheless ends up betraying both of the special agents by revealing that he along with the entire village were real vampires. Thus the sheriff without a large overbite drugs Scully in an honestly pretty good plot twist for a very funny episode ending a surprisingly compelling and funny character.
