True Blood: 10 Answers We Must Get In The Final Season

1. Who Is The Figure And Why Is He Here?

With so much going on in the final season, one of the largest question marks remains in the form of the mysterious Figure, a new character who is vaguely described as €˜hulking,€™ €˜ugly,€™ and €˜crafty.€™ Producers compare The Figure to Leatherface and Jason Voorhees, only he is able to talk. The Figure is slated to appear in the premier episode, so fans can expect to have this question addressed immediately, though it could be several episodes in before his true nature and purpose is revealed. To serve the story efficiently, there are only a few potentials of who The Figure is and how he fits into the outcome of the series. One good bet is that he is some type of leader in the Hep V infected vampire community, serving as an organizer and a social counterpoint to the politically-directed anti-vampire group led by another new character, Vince. A second possibility is that the figure is from the fae dimension, some final fairy straw coming to Bon Temps with the intention of breaking Sookie€™s back. In this scenario, many possibilities open in resolving not only Sookie€™s final growth as a magical being, but in pulling Jason€™s powers out of him and adding needed weight to the fae-oriented aspects of the story. Whoever The Figure is, his introduction and, we assume, his death, will factor heavily into the finale and whoever is left standing when this villain finally falls will be among the last characters alive as True Blood fades to black and the series comes to an end. With so many unanswered questions remaining as True Blood begins its seventh and final season, there are certainly some that we missed.
