There will, of course, be plenty of characters that sadly won't be able to return (at least not played by the same actors that they were previously). Many have passed away in the 25 years (RIP), and some have all but confirmed their absence. Several missing faces include: - Frank Silva (BOB): Deceased. It seems that the character of BOB will be manifested in some way though (given his centrality to the show, it's almost necessary). When questioned on it, Frost simply said: "I can't really say. That's a tough one to go into without giving away too much." - Jack Nance (Pete Martell): Deceased. - Frances Bay (Mrs. Tremond/Chalfont): Deceased. - Don S. Davis (Major Briggs): Deceased. - Dan O'Herlihy (Andrew Packard): Deceased. - John Boylan (Mayor Dwayne Milford): Deceased. - Hank Worden (World's Most Decrepit Room-Service Waiter): Deceased - Michael J. Anderson (The Man From Another Place): Sadly, Michael J. Anderson posted a Facebook update soon after the revival's announcement stating that, as much as he would like to be involved, he was unlikely to be called on. His reasoning was narrative-related, though, so perhaps he simply hadn't been contacted at that stage. The Man From Another Place is one of the show's most iconic characters, so it would be a shame if he doesn't return. One interesting question is, assuming central character Donna Hayward is set to return, will she played by Lara Flynn Boyle (as in the original series) or Moira Kelly (as in Fire Walk With Me)? It shouldn't be too long before Showtime provides the answer!
