5. Confirmed Cast Members
Thus far, Showtime has been very slow in terms of signing up previous cast members. There have even been suggestions that they haven't even approached any of the original female cast members as yet, which is worrying giving that shooting begins in September... However, they have made some announcements - and several cast members have themselves confirmed that they'll be involved in some way or another. Kyle MacLachlan is, as yet, the only cast member fully confirmed by Showtime. He was presented in full Special Agent Dale Cooper gear several months ago, and has spoken excitedly about the scripts for the show and his happiness to be returning to Twin Peaks. Several other stars that look set to return include: - Sheryl Lee (Laura Palmer/Maddy Ferguson): Lynch phoned Lee to confirm her participation, and she has been involved in several interviews/press conferences about the show since. "According to David Lynch, I WILL be involved in Twin Peaks 2016..." - Sherilyn Fenn (Audrey Horne): Fenn has also confirmed that she'll be involved and has participated in press conferences about the series. "I talked to David. We're going back to Twin Peaks. We're gonna have some fun!" - Dana Ashbrook (Bobby Briggs): Ashbrook was confirmed in the same phone call as Sheryl Lee. - Grace Zabriskie (Sarah Palmer): "Yes, apparently so, but I'm not sure exactly in what capacity." - Ray Wise (Leland Palmer): "Happy to be between two worlds #twinpeaks" - David Duchovny (Denise Bryson): "I hope my character comes back, I think she does." - Russ Tamblyn (Dr. Jacoby): According to a scoop by fan-site Welcome To Twin Peaks, Tamblyn is wanted back by Lynch and Frost (health permitting).
