Umbrella Academy: 11 Biggest Questions After Season 2
10. Why Is Hargreeves Interested In The Dark Side Of The Moon?
If there’s one thing viewers did
learn about Reginald Hargreeves during this new season, it’s that he has a
profound interest in studying the dark side of the moon. That seems to be the
only concrete reason we have for him cooperating with the Majestic 12.
The question remains, though: what is on the dark side of the moon and why does Hargreeves have such an interest in it?
This isn’t the only time Hargreeves has been involved with the moon. In the first season, he sent Luther (Tom Hopper) on a four-year-long special assignment to our celestial neighbour where he was supposed to look out for any incoming threats to Earth. But after his father’s death, Luther discovered that all of the reports he sent back still remained unopened and that four years of his life were wasted on a fabricated mission to get him away from the house.
Since Luther’s mission didn’t involve investigating the dark side of the moon, we can only assume that by this point in his life Hargreeves had already found what he was looking for – whatever that may be.
