The Walking Dead: 5 Reasons You're Better Off Reading The Comic

3. Countless Volumes of Proven Awesome Are Already Available

We Are The Walking Dead Before AMC produced the television series, many people like myself originally became familiar with The Walking Dead by binge-reading the graphic novels that were available. For many fans, the moment you finished the first volume and Shane had already been shot in the neck by Carl instead of lingering around for another volume, you knew that this was more than just a another human vs. zombie epidemic story. In the Walking Dead comic, even the most uneventful issues are still written well and leave you satisfied. Granted, with over a hundred issues already printed, the quality of The Walking Dead comic is bound to have its frustrating moments here and there €“ story structure can get repetitious, but it's easy to overlook that as there have already been around 10 volumes of incredible story packed with enough destruction and drama to leave any reader satisfied. The pacing of the graphic novels are very quick in the first several volumes, and while it does slow down later on and sharp-eyed readers will notice slight repetition in the plot here and there, when the comic is amazing, it is really amazing. If you love books that mess around with you're expectations of who will live in a similar vein to "A Song Of Ice and Fire", then you will love Robert Kirkman's zombie saga. Plus, the best part is that after you've finished reading an enormous climactic moment, you don't have to wait months to find out what happened afterwards. Unless you're up to date on the most recent issue, you can just pick up the next volume and pick up where you left Rick and Company. It's a perfect addition for anyone into collecting graphic novels.
