10 Times Feet Were Better Than Fists Inside Of The Octagon
3. Lyoto Machida Vs. Randy Couture (UFC 129)
UFC 129 marked the end of one of the greatest MMA careers of all time.
Randy Couture had captured UFC Championships in two weight-classes (Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight) on multiple occasions and took part in legendary clashes with the likes of Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz, Vitor Belfort and Brock Lesnar.
Yet, though he didn't always come out on top, even he couldn't have imagined his career would end off the back of a foot-finish as stunning as this next entry.
Lyoto Machida was a star known for his ability to very nearly separate a fighter's head from their shoulders with a sudden swing of his hips. That being said, he hadn't had the pleasure of finishing a fight with one of his signature leg strikes inside of the UFC... until he met Couture at the aforementioned event in 2011.
Managing to stay in the fight throughout the first round, Couture still had a chance of finding an opening to extend his three fight winning streak into four.
However, that chance would be thoroughly murdered (along with his fighting career) when Machida began throwing a variety of feints before poking a hole through Couture's face with a sickening crane kick.
Quick. Elegant. Definitive.
I'd challenge anyone to throw a punch that was as damn photogenic as that.
