5 Burning Question That Will Be Answered At UFC 236

1. Will The Switch To ESPN+ Effect The Pay-Per-View Buyrate?

Technically, this question probably won't be answered until after the event, but it's still a very important one for the UFC. North America, particularly the United States, is the promotion's biggest market in terms of pay-per-view buys.

Now that folks in the States won't be able to purchase PPVs without access to the ESPN+ streaming service, it's possible that many fans may decide to skip the event altogether. After all, UFC President Dana White has already acknowledged that a lot of people aren't happy with the new arrangement.

Even though the price of the event will be reduced to $59.99 to account for the cost of a subscription, there will certainly be folks who don't want to deal with signing up for a streaming service and/or don't have the setup required to do so. Whether or not these factors will impact the buyrate in a significant way remains to be seen.
