10 Awesome Wrestlers With Surprisingly Bad WrestleMania Records
8. Triple H (9-11)
Triple H has won a lot of WrestleMania matches he probably should have lost. There was no reason for him to go over Booker T at XIX or Sting at 31, for example, and these unwanted outcomes have definitely padded his “win” column. Despite this, no wrestler has lost more WrestleMania matches throughout the event’s history, and for all the talk of him hogging the spotlight, Triple H has been surprisingly giving at times.
As Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Triple H’s WrestleMania career started with a hilarious squash loss to the Ultimate Warrior at ‘Mania XII. He defeated Goldust and Owen Hart over the next couple of years, and his success continued when he entered the main event scene. Triple H was victorious in world title matches at WrestleMania 2000, X8, XIX, and XXV, before defeating Sheamus at XXVI, and Brock Lesnar three years later.
In terms of defeats, Triple H has fallen to Kane, The Undertaker (thrice), Chris Benoit, Batista, and Randy Orton. He’ll likely take another loss to Seth Rollins this year, and there’s a strong chance he’ll never win another WrestleMania match again.
9-11 isn’t a horrendous record, but it’s surprisingly poor for a man who has been pushed as heavily as Triple H. His clashes with The Undertaker rank among the greatest matches in the event’s history, however, which provides some consolation.
