Clocking in at just four minutes 45 seconds, the WrestleMania 33 bout contested by Brock Lesnar and Goldberg is not only one of the best sub-10-minute matches in WWE history, it's arguably the best sub-five-minute match period.

Considering that one of its participants was a 50-year-old who had taken to the ring just three times in the preceding 13 years - all of these excursions lasting a matter of seconds - that's a mightily impressive feat.

How did they do it? The short answer is that they did the very opposite of what they tried at WrestleMania XX a decade earlier. Instead of looking to apply headlocks and armbars, they immediately went for their signature moves, three German suplexes from the Beast Incarnate being immediately followed by a succession of Spears.

On paper, this one should have been pretty easy to call: Goldberg, having signed up for a short-term deal, was heading back from whence he came the second the pay-per-view was in the bag. But, for a brief moment, it really did seem like he might repeat his Survivor Series trick one more time. That has to be the mark of a good match.
