10 Biggest AEW Success Stories (So Far)

2. Jungle Boy

Tony Khan literally bought the rights to 'Tarzan Boy' by Baltimora to use for Jungle Boy's entrance. Theoretically, the Jurassic Express member is being positioned as the future ace of All Elite Wrestling.

Why else would ol' TK fork out the money to pay for a genuine Europop banger if the company weren't intending on pushing 'Jungle Jack' in the imminent future? The Jurassic Express theme was already a fine piece of work from Mikey Rukus, but Jungle Boy needed something to separate him from Luchasaurus and Marko Stunt if he's to be placed as a top-level performer in AEW.

Jungle Boy is already one of the promotion's finest in-ring workers, has the name power through association to his deceased father, and can cut a half-decent promo when required to. He's already come so far since being a forgettable entrant in the men's Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing 2019. Now, he has star-making bouts with Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho.

He's destined to be a massive name in professional wrestling in years to come. Ric Flair, John Cena, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Jungle Boy. It seems a tad hard to believe right now, but AEW are taking their time with this one. You can't make a genuine star overnight.

In the near twenty months after his first AEW bout, though, Jungle Boy has shown he's got what's needed to lead a major wrestling promotion.
