10 Live Observations From WWE Raw After WrestleMania 35

2. The High Notes

Undertaker Elias
WWE

Good on Elias for stepping into the breach for two consecutive nights just months removed from a misjudged babyface turn that almost destroyed the popular gimmick.

Judging from the noise in the seats made for his efforts both here and at Sunday’s ‘Show Of Shows’, the fans want to “Walk With Elias” even if he sh*ts on their local sports team or insists they shut their mouths. WWE could have done with that command in the main event.

That’s if this wasn’t the real headliner anyway. The company clearly believed it would suffice as the night’s biggest surprise.

Another year, another f*cking depressing Undertaker return - the ‘Deadman’ moved slowly but carried a big sh*tty stick, wordlessly dispatching the former drifter with a Tombstone in a spot that may have once passed for a ‘WrestleMania Moment’ before Vince McMahon’s StarrCast related spite got in the way.

Elias smartly promised “next year” would be different for him, booking yet another potential WrestleMania showdown with ‘The Champ’. Even the most generous Brooklyn natives were presumably relieved he didn’t have any intention of throwing a challenge The Undertaker’s way.
