10 Misfit WWE Tag Teams That You'll Never Forget

8. Heath Slater & Rhyno

When Rhyno returned to SmackDown following the 2016 brand extension, the sight of him goring Heath Slater out of his boots was a stark contrast to the events that would follow. Defeating Slater two weeks later, Rhyno even cost 'The One Man Band' a contract with the blue brand.

Nevertheless, Slater was given one more shot at employment when he was entered into the tournament to crown new SmackDown Tag Team Champions - on the condition he could find a partner. With nowhere else to go, a sympathetic 'Man-Beast' agreed to team with his former punching bag and the Slater/Rhyno team was on.

Rhyno was no stranger to misfit tag partners at the time, having teamed with Tajiri during his initial run back in 2004. That experience paid dividends and the combination of the gore and The Corre proved to be a winning formula.

Slater and Rhyno became the first ever SmackDown Tag Team Champions at Backlash 2016 and held the gold for an impressive 84 days. The misfit team would eventually succumb to another bizarre pairing, when they lost the titles to Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton in December.
