10 Most Cursed WWE Images Of 2020
5. Cinematic Trash
2020 was the year of the cinematic match, and to say that a lot of these were pleasant surprises would be an understatement. The two cinematic matches at WrestleMania were event highlights, and even the highly daft Money In The Bank match at WWE HQ had a few chuckles along the way.
Then there’s the Street Profits’ clash with Viking Raiders at Backlash. It’s not, as we’ll discuss, the worst cinematic match, but it might just be the most boring. The two hugely talented teams spent much of 2020 engaged in skits, battling for supremacy at golf, bowling, and the like.
This reached a head at Backlash, where the teams were supposed to meet for Street Profits’ championships, but instead brawled around the building, teamed up against some ninjas, and ultimately wound up, quite fittingly, chucked into a dumpster.
Not only was this an insult to the intelligence of wrestling fans, but it was also way too long. The joke, such as it was, had run out of steam on the Raw skits, long before the two teams combined to create one of the most skippable bits of content of 2020.
