In 2009, WWE planned to celebrate women’s wrestling by hosting a battle royal at WrestleMania featuring a mix of 25 current and former divas. You may notice this was six years before the Divas’ Revolution, so the athletes weren’t exactly regarded as strong and passionate competitors. Nope, they were treated as a bathroom break, or in this case, a musical interlude.

Instead of each participant receiving an entrance, all 25 ladies came out at once as Kid Rock performed a medley of hits. Old favorites like Molly Holly and Sunny weren’t even spotlighted, as women were tossed in haphazardly fashion. In fewer than eight minutes, the match was over and Santino Marella dressed in drag was crowned Miss WrestleMania.

It was just another laugh at the expense of the “weaker sex.”
