Rather less questionable is Shawn Michaels’ double-crossing of Marty Jannetty on an episode of Brutus Beefcake’s Barber Shop in early 1992. Unless, of course, you listen to Bobby “the Brain” Heenan.

Despite what Heenan will tell you though, Michaels was indeed the guilty party as he emphatically answered Jannetty’s question as to whether or not his loyalties lay with the Rockers.

Jannetty and Michaels had been having troubles for a few months, and not just in storyline. It would all came to a head on-screen after the two had seemingly put their differences aside, only for Michaels to turn the tables and blast Jannetty with a super kick, mere moments after sharing a forgiving embrace.

What followed was one of the most memorable moments in WWE history, as Michaels picked up his former partner and launched him head-first through the Barber Shop window. Almost equally as famous, was the exchange on commentary that would ensue between Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon as a result:

“Jannetty tried to dive through the window to escape! Did you see that?”

“Are you blind?!”

“What an act of cowardism!”

A great line, a great segment, and the catalyst for further great things as far as Michaels was concerned.
