6. The Undertaker Vs. Shawn Michaels - In Your House: Badd Blood
There's not much new that can be said about the first-ever Hell in a Cell match. Though the stipulation may have originally left fans skeptical, the bout between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker was one of the best matches in WWE history. In many ways, it ended up setting the stage for the Attitude Era, and much of the influence that it had is still felt today.
The bout was stunning for its action and brutality, but it's the ending that lands it on the list. Undertaker beat Michaels to a bloody pulp and looked ready to finish him off, but the arena lights suddenly went out. Suddenly, organ music began to play, and a red light trained on the entranceway revealed that Paul Bearer had entered the arena with a masked behemoth. It turned out that his promise that The Undertaker's brother was still alive was anything but an idle threat.
Kane tore the door off the cell, got in the ring, and stood face to face with a bedeviled Undertaker. "The Big Red Machine" then conjured fire from the turnbuckles and attacked his brother, planting him with a Tombstone that allowed HBK to pick up the victory.
