10 Moves WWE Superstars Don't Do Anymore

1. Spiral Tap (AJ Styles)

The easy answer to why AJ Styles no longer utilises the Spiral Tap is that he's getting older. Not so fast.

Styles still uses athletic moves like his Phenomenal Forearm (by spring-boarding off the ropes), and he has broken out the odd 450 Splash from time to time on WWE television too. Through all that athleticism, there's been no return for his dazzling twister press, otherwise known as the aforementioned Spiral Tap.

As part of the TNA roster between 2002-13, Styles could regularly be seen using the move in the X-Division and when he became a main-eventer in the company. It was a guaranteed pop, and the graceful AJ was able to make the move look marvellous every time he did it.

Today in WWE, it's not part of his move set. In fact, it'd be interesting to know if Styles has performed the move full stop since joining the promotion in 2016. Although it might've been understandable not to as a heel, AJ has become one of WWE's top babyfaces, and the Spiral Tap is a classic good guy move.
