Something significant shifted in the minds of fans around WrestleMania 41 time. After a few years of booing the dude out of the building anytime he dared put a mic to his lips, WWE audiences started to cheer for Dominik Mysterio. It took a while, but Rey's boy is now firmly accepted by the core crowd. He's one of the cool kids now. Welcome to the party.

At SummerSlam, New Jersey even chanted for Dominik. It was remarkable to hear a 50/50 split on "AJ Styles" and "Dirty Dom" chants mid-match. The whole bout was painstakingly laid out as a tribute to fallen great Eddie Guerrero. AJ came out in a lowrider like Eddie, he had a "Latino Heat" inspired t-shirt, and there were countless spots throughout the Intercontinental Title match that played like a greatest hits of Guerrero goodness.

It was good, clean fun from start to finish. Not the most important match on the weekend by a mile, but still bags of fun.

SummerSlam Sunday also proved one thing: WWE fans are ready to fully embrace Mysterio as a good guy. They don't want him to change though. In fact, Dom maintaining some of that roguish scumbag personality like Eddie did would be sensational. Of course, if he does turn, then that'd surely spell the end of Judgment Day for good.

The faction still has plenty of gold, but 2025 must be their final year. They ruled Raw when Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest were members, but that feels like ancient history at this point. Finn Bálor turning on Mysterio and changing 'Dirty Dom' into 'Our Dirty Dom' to fans is right there, man.
