1. RAW's Reputation Has Changed
This next entry would've been almost unimaginable just a couple years back.
Monday Night RAW is no longer perceived as this important and exciting wrestling show where major developments happen every week. Once upon a time, RAW was can't miss episodic television - and if you did miss it, you missed major storyline progression!
Nowadays, RAW's reputation is very different.
Even after the historic Monday Night War ratings settled down to around three-four million viewers each week, RAW still had the feeling of being an important show. Today, however, fans can go months without watching an episode and miss very little, if anything, that can be considered exciting and episodic television - much less entertaining.
It could be due to the growing importance of the WWE Network and the Special Events/PPVs that take place every 2 weeks. It could also be due to SmackDown's move to the USA Network in early 2016. It could also be as simple as poor creative finally catching up to them.
Regardless of the reason(s), RAW's reputation has gone from required viewing for professional wrestling fans to a forgettable, tedious three-hour weekly epic that can't stop a haemorrhaging viewers.
