10 Sting WWE Matches You'll Never Get To See

4. Shawn Michaels

Another hypothetical match against a retired superstar, the speculation surrounding one more match for Shawn Michaels just will not go away. Now that Daniel Bryan has retired and CM Punk has taken his ball to the octagon, there isn't a standout opponent for HBK. What price Sting? Truth be told, I had pretty much forgotten that Shawn showed up to deliver Sweet Chin Music to Sting at WrestleMania XXXI. In all of the shenanigans surrounding the match, that fact escaped me, but it obviously provides a clear beginning to what would be a WrestleMania worthy story. Sting would say that he expected D-Generation X to be involved, but as a fellow Christian he expected more from Shawn. Stories involving Triple-H have always caused Michaels a fair amount of consternation, as he tries to weigh up his conscience against helping his best friend. As of yet we've not seen Michaels get any comeuppance following any of his interferences. Sting may just be the man to deliver some revenge.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
