10 Storyline Moments WWE Can’t Afford To Book

1. Goldberg Returns To End Roman's Reign

WWE were all set to pull the trigger on Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg at WrestleMania 36 before the former selflessly took himself out of the frame to protect his family. There's no way either man has lost a taste for what it would've been like to lock horns though, and WWE will want to come back to it too.

That's fine, but only if Roman squashes Goldberg like big Bill did to everyone in WCW circa 1997.

It'd be a massive setback for his heel character if Goldberg swanned in and nabbed another brief Universal Title reign. Roman's run on top isn't one WWE need to interrupt with diversions on the way to 'Mania 37; if anything, Reigns needs to hold that belt for as long as possible and cement his 'Tribal Chief' leadership.

Besides, Roman was likely going to beat Bill this past spring anyway. A five-seven minute smashing that ends with Reigns' new submission is fine. A Goldberg comeback like it's the golden age of Nitro absolutely isn't. That cannot happen.
