10 Things That Would Be Happening In WWE If Fans Could Vote

8. Divisions That Mean Something

WWE’s midcard title divisions have been in the doldrums for years. You could make the same argument for their world titles too, but the United States, Intercontinental, and Tag Team titles have become afterthoughts in recent decades. Tag wrestling is all but dead, and WWE have done their very best to grind the US and IC titles’ proud legacies to dust. These were once among the industry’s most prestigious belts, but now? They’re no more than fashion accessories.

SmackDown are doing solid work with the IC belt, but there’s a long way to go before it really means something again. The days of Bret Hart and the British Bulldog contesting the belt in a headlining bout at a sold-out Wembley Stadium are dead and gone, and try as they may, Dolph Ziggler and The Miz are just two guys. There’s only so much they can do, and they need help.

The US Title suffered greatly through Kalisto and Alberto Del Rio’s reigns, meanwhile, and Raw’s Tag Title scene has stayed stagnant throughout the New Day’s joyless march towards Demolition’s record. Things aren’t as bad as they were a year ago, but each division needs a facelift, and fast.

If given a vote, fans would surely start working to remove their biggest criticisms from the company. WWE’s long-term destruction of their midcard championships sits high among those gripes, and each division would soon get a chance to shine again.
