10 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About LA Knight
1. Triple H Brings The Hype
While NXT has a diverse backstage team including the likes of Shawn Michaels and William Regal, the main man talent need to impress is Triple H. ‘The Game’ is the future of the wrestling business and books his NXT talent so well it often leads to disappointment on the main roster. However, the dreaded main roster call-up is a distant concern for debuting talent, even one as adventurous and ambitious as the newly christened LA Knight- a name that sounds like a GTA side-character who gives you low-paid side quests that somehow always conclude in driving him to a strip club.
Triple H already being high on Knight gives the new signing a fresh start and a golden opportunity away from his failed WWE runs and Impact controversy.
Triple H took time in his post-pay-per-view media call to discuss the star’s debut. He admitted that Knight’s previous NXT run had been unsuccessful due to faults on both sides, but stated he has always been a fan of the former Eli Drake. He elaborated:
“I was a fan of his then, I was a fan of his work and his promo skills and everything else as he went along his journey, and I’ve always thought, when the time was right, he’d be great here.”
