10 Times WWE Fans' Worst Fears Came True
5. Undertaker Outstaying His Welcome
Almost as soon as the wrestling world bid adieu to Shawn Michaels in 2010, it began fretting about how and when the man who put him in the ground (figuratively, of course) would bow out himself.
Many disparate theories were floated around online (a frankly alarming number of them involving Kane in some capacity or other - which proves we don't know what we're talking about), but one thing was constant throughout: he shouldn't outstay his welcome.
And while nobody is going to argue that 'Taker is anything other than a legend, there is a broad consensus in 2018 that this is precisely what the Deadman has done. His legacy is still in tact, of course, but the bulk of his matches over recent years - including his last four at WrestleMania - have been woefully below par (and understandably so, given his age).
Presuming he takes up John Cena's challenge, however, he now has the chance to prove us all wrong this Sunday - or, at the very least, depart on a positive note by putting on a match worthy of sitting alongside some of the great bouts he fought back in his heyday.
