10 Ways WWE Can Appeal To The Teenage Demographic

3. Ricochet And Adam Cole 'BayBay'

The chatter at the minute is that Ricochet is the next Heyman Guy because Heyman believes he appeals to teens. He’s not wrong. Ricochet is: good looking, young, in the type of shape that could garner millions of Instagram likes, high octane and exciting to watch. Combine his look with his unbelievable in ring athleticism and you’ve got the most gif-able wrestler in history.

Adam Cole fits the same mould but with a twist: he’s a troll. Treat yourself and go back and watch Adam Cole from 2012 PWG when he was finding his feet as a very baby faced antagonist. He was a wind up merchant. He would do anything to get on the crowds' nerves and he relished it with a big s**t-eating grin.

Imagine Cole anonymously slagging you off over a headset waiting in the lobby for Fortnite. Teens, especially boys, love trolls. Some of the most popular YouTube videos are of people winding up other gamers. They love agitators and people who can get under people’s skins. Adam Cole is the perfect man for the job. Combined with his good looks and athleticism, teens would love him.

If WWE wants to appeal to this teenage audience they need to have a sensitive ear for what teens like, and Ricochet and Adam Cole are two that could really push them to the forefront.
