10 Wrestlers That Got BANNED From AEW
8. Ivelisse
Is...is it also safe to assume that Ivelisse won't be showing up on any #AllElite graphics in the near future, if at all? She experienced a fairly bitter end to her near 2 year stay in AEW. That ran between 2019-2021, but it was a 2020 match that effectively did her prospects of more work with the company in. Ivelisse visibly no-sold for Thunder Rosa during an NWA Women's Title bout on the 16 September episode of Dynamite.
That didn't go down too well behind the curtain. There was apparently more drama after the match too, because Rosa felt like Ivelisse had gone out of her way to sabotage the match. Ivelisse disagree with that, and later brought up thoughts that Thunder had been shooting throughout the match by peppering her with some stiff strikes that seemed a bit over the top.
It honestly sounds like there might've been some tension between them going in, or that things just got out of hand in the heat of the moment. Normally, wrestlers can shake hands and move on from that sort of thing, but this was the beginning of the end for Ivelisse in AEW. She's since complained about potentially being screwed over for speaking her mind.
Upon being let go, Ivelisse took to Twitter/X and and said she was the victim of "mistreatment" from coaches in AEW and slander from Thunder Rosa herself. This caused a fair bit of noise online, so Tony Khan might prefer to blacklist Ivelisse rather than deal with all of that again.
It's hardly like the All Elite boss has had a quiet life on that front since launching the company.
