10 Wrestlers Who Will NEVER Be All Elite (And Why)
9. King Corbin
WWE’s most polarising heel has struck a nerve with fans everywhere. There are those that praise Corbin as an old school heel in an age of villains who play to crowds. Others have condemned him for the often slow pace of his matches and promos on top of several frivolous storylines over the years.
While Corbin is yet to win a world title, WWE have granted him multiple accolades including a King of the Ring tournament, Money in the Bank, the United States championship and the end of the great Kurt Angle’s career. Most important of all, Corbin is granted plentiful screen time on a consistent basis in a time where rosters are so loaded it feels like half the workers reside in catering.
Corbin has shown little subtlety regarding his feelings towards AEW, often engaging in spats with Elite fans on social media. He has also criticised their booking, in particular the decision to make WWE legend Chris Jericho the inaugural world champ. Given the level of hatred he garners from the smarkier crowds AEW attracts, chances are the disinterest is mutual.
Raised in the NXT system, Corbin is a proud representative of WWE. Barring some kind of monumental screw-up, it is safe to assume he will spend the entirety of his career there.
