7. AJ Styles Wanted To Retire From Wrestling Post-TNA
It's been well-documented that AJ Styles wasn't exactly enjoying life during the latter part of his TNA career. Rising up through the ranks of the promotion, Styles transformed himself from high-flying X Division star into genuine World Title contender. The name AJ Styles became synonymous with TNA as a company over time. Leaving the promotion in late-2013, AJ has since went on to look a more motivated performer in organisations like Ring Of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. There have been rumours since the turn of the year - and some even before - about a possible jump to WWE, but Styles himself has always been coy when asked about the chances of such a move happening. Currently 37 years of age, Styles plans to hang up his boots when he hits 42. The reasoning behind that decision is that the age will mark 20 years since he made his debut . Before committing to such a decision, the man planned to retire after his TNA run had ended, but it's likely working in ROH and NJPW gave him a taste for wrestling again.
