Following his untimely passing this week, former ECW and WWE performer Balls Mahoney has been the subject of many tributes from those who worked alongside him. One of those tributes came from Mick Foley, who posted a short eulogy on Facebook discussing his most vivid memories of the chair-swinging wild man.

Upon leaving WCW in 1994, Foley spent a brief period in ECW. Around the same time, he also worked for Jim Cornette in Smoky Mountain Wrestling. The small territory was also the home of Balls Mahoney, then working under the name Boo Bradley. In SMW, Bradley and Foley feuded with one another, and it was apparently an experience the latter enjoyed.

When he was due to leave Smoky Mountain, Foley had a gift for someone he viewed as a fun-loving kind of character. Handing Balls a pair of his old Cactus Jack tights, Foley was pleased to hear from Cornette later that Mahoney treasured the present, wearing them often.
