9. Samoa Joe Hints That He's Keeping Name In WWE
During a recent interview, Samoa Joe seemed to give indication that he could be set to continue using the same ring-name he has done for years in WWE. Upon signing for the company, it was generally expected that Joe would be forced to change his moniker, with several amusing memes even popping up poking fun at the various new names WWE have given talent over the years in NXT. There's been a lot of talk recently about exactly how the former TNA and ROH World Champion will be used in the promotion, and speculation is rife that he could be set to skip NXT pretty much altogether and find a home on the main roster. In fairness, that seems unlikely, unless WWE have some special plans for him. It seems more plausible that he will be used sparingly to enhance the NXT brand, as well as being counted on to help give advice to and train some of the younger talents in the WWE developmental system. Samoa Joe has waited years for the chance to make his mark in WWE, and during media appearances he has seemed remarkably placid regarding his future.
