8. Will Miz & Maryse Get A Real Push?

Put this writer in the camp of people who are happy to see Maryse back in WWE. In addition to being a natural beauty, she has good charisma and personality, and she has a strong connection to WWE. The former Divas Champion has been married to the Miz for two years.

It quickly became apparent that the major reason for Maryse returning to WWE after five years was because she had been cast in the upcoming season of Total Divas. Uggh.

However, Maryse was wisely paired up with her husband, whom she helped win (and defend) the Intercontinental Championship. This could be significant for a couple reasons. Miz has lacked gravitas as a heel since his initial main event run, which was helped in part because he was no-nonsense and had a lackey in Alex Riley.

With Maryse by his side, Miz could be forced to be act and be taken more seriously. They become a WWE “power couple” in some ways. Miz becomes even more hated as a heel who has a secondary title and a beautiful wife who helps him stay on top. Sure, he won’t main event another WrestleMania, but Miz held his own in the Kevin Owens/Dolph Ziggler feud a while back and could hold the IC title for a bit.
